Automations

Turn on automations

What automations do, how to switch one on, Pause all, and where to see what they did.

Automations are jobs Beat'em does on your stores every day so you don't have to: sharing your Poshmark closet, sending offers to shoppers, following back, and relisting items that have gone quiet. They run on Beat'em's side, so they keep going with your computer off. They all live on the Actions page, in one card per store.

Just signed up? The last step of Beat'em's setup, Let Beat'em do the busywork, switches on a starter set for each store in one go when you press Turn these on: Poshmark sharing, Posh Parties, offers to likers and following back; offers on Depop; offers to watchers on eBay. Relisting and the rest stay off under More for <Store>. You can change any of it later here.

Turn one on

  1. Open Actions and find the store's card. If it says Not connected, press Connect on the card and connect that store first.

  2. Flip the switch at the right of the automation you want, for example Offers to likers.

  3. Click the automation's row to open its settings and fill in the boxes. The grey numbers are only suggestions: an automation with empty boxes is on but won't run (Posh Parties has no boxes, so it runs as soon as it's on). Each box saves when you click out of it, so there's no Save button.

You're done when the store's card says 1 automation running (or however many you turned on), and the automation's row shows your settings instead of its description.

What each store has

Every store has offers and relisting. Sharing, parties and following are Poshmark only.

Poshmark

Sharing re-shares your closet to your followers through the day, and can also share to the community.

Posh Parties shares each listing that fits into every live Posh Party, once. It has its own switch and limits, and runs even with Sharing off.

Offers to likers sends an offer to shoppers who like an item. Poshmark needs at least 10% off.

Follow back & clean up follows your new followers back and can unfollow sellers.

Relist unsold listings replaces old listings with fresh copies, so they show up as new.

Depop

Offers to likers works like Poshmark's, and can send a deeper offer later to anyone who didn't buy.

Accept & Counter Offers answers offers buyers send you: it accepts the ones at or above your accept price and counters the rest, within limits you set.

Relist unsold listings replaces old listings with fresh copies, and can keep Boost on them.

eBay

Offers to watchers sends an offer to people watching an item. eBay picks who gets it, the offer lasts 4 days, and buyers can't counter.

Relist unsold listings ends a listing when it's due for its monthly renewal and brings it back with eBay's own Relist, for the same fee you'd have paid anyway.

Pause everything at once

Press Pause all at the top of the Actions page to stop every automation on every store in your workspace (everyone who shares your Beat'em account). A box appears saying All automations are paused, and the switches are locked until you press Resume all. Your settings are kept, so everything you had on picks up on its next run. Likes and offers that came in while you were paused aren't acted on. Pause all doesn't stop sale checks or taking a sold item down on your other stores.

See what they did

Press Activity at the top of the Actions page, or open Activity. The Offers, Shares, Follows and Relists tabs list what each automation did (party shares count as shares), with totals for the last 7 days and a chart of the last 14. Needs attention lists anything that didn't go through, and why. Times are in US Eastern time.

Something not right?

The switch is on but the settings are empty, so it won't run. Click the automation's row and fill in the boxes (step 3).

Automations spread their work across the day, so give it a few hours. Then check Activity → Needs attention for a reason, and that the store's card on Actions says Connected.

No automation is switched on, so there's nothing to pause. Switch one on first.

On a team, the account owner decides who can change automations. Ask them to give you the Automation permission.

Poshmark only allows offers of at least 10% off. Raise the discount to 10% or more.

Poshmark turned down Beat'em's requests for a while, so Beat'em backed off to protect your closet. It tries again by itself. You don't need to do anything.

That store logged Beat'em out, so its automations are paused. Go to Settings → Stores and press Reconnect next to it. Everything picks up where it left off.

Still stuck? Ask Buzz in Beat'em. If Buzz can't sort it out, press Contact support under Buzz's chat box and we'll reply by email, usually within a few hours.
