Your first 15 minutes
Sign up and let setup connect your stores, bring your listings in, fill the gaps and switch on the daily jobs.
Signing up is free and doesn't need a credit card. Then Beat'em's setup walks you through connecting your stores, bringing your listings in, putting the same item on every store and switching on the daily jobs. Every screen does the real thing, not a tour, and the setup screen says it takes about 15 minutes.
Leave anytime. Press Finish later at the top of any setup screen. Beat'em remembers how far you got: on your dashboard, the Finish setting up card's Continue button takes you straight back to where you left off.
Go to app.beatem.ai. You'll see Create your free account. Press Continue with Google, or type your email and press Continue.
If you used your email, Beat'em emails you a 6-digit code (the subject starts with the code). Type it into the boxes on Enter the code. There's no password to set: next time, sign in the same way, with Google or a fresh code.
You'll see You're in! and two questions. Under Where do you sell from?, pick the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom or Australia. This sets your currency. Under Which stores do you sell on?, tap the stores you use, or I don't sell on any yet. Press Continue.
Setup
The line at the top of each setup screen shows where you are: Your closet, Everywhere, then On autopilot.
Connect your first store. Setup opens on the first store you named (if you didn't name one, pick it under Where do you sell the most?). How it connects depends on the store:
eBay: press Continue to eBay, sign in on eBay's own page, and eBay sends you back to setup.
Poshmark or Depop on a computer: press Add Beat'em to Chrome. The extension is a small add-on for Chrome, Edge or Brave that connects the Poshmark closet and Depop shop you're logged in to, without sharing a password. Log in to each store in that browser and it joins by itself.
Poshmark on a phone, Safari or Firefox: type your Poshmark username and password. Poshmark may send you a code to type in.
Depop on a phone, Safari or Firefox: press Open Depop, enter your email on Depop's page, then copy the login link from Depop's email (don't click it) and paste it back in Beat'em.
Each store has its own step-by-step guide: Depop, Poshmark and eBay. When a store is in, you'll see <Store> connected for a moment.
Watch your listings arrive. Your live listings come in by themselves and the count goes up as they land. You don't have to wait: the button to connect your next store is there straight away. A big closet takes a while, and it keeps going if you leave.
Connect your other stores. Setup offers each store you can sell on, one at a time. Don't sell on one? Press I don't sell on <Store> to skip it. When every store is done, press Put my closet together.
Same item, one item. If an item is listed on more than one store, Beat'em joins those listings into one item, so a sale on one store takes it down from the others. You'll see Your closet, all in one place with what your stock is worth. If some pairs only look alike, press Check now and answer Same item or Different for each, or press Later. The rest wait on your Items page, and Beat'em won't crosslist them until you've looked. Your listings on the stores don't change.
Fill the gaps. You'll see how many of your items aren't on every store yet, with a switch for each store. Leave on the stores you want, press Crosslist (the button shows how many listings), then confirm in the window that opens. These are free: they don't use your credits. If you have a lot, your priciest items go first and the rest can follow from your Items page any time. You can carry on while they go up: press Next: keep your closet moving. Not now? Press Not now.
Turn on the daily jobs. You'll see Let Beat'em do the busywork, with the usual jobs for each store already switched on: sharing and Posh Parties for Poshmark, offers to the people who like or watch an item, and following back. More, like relisting, sits under More for <Store>. Tap a value to change it or a switch to turn a job off, then press Turn these on.
You're done when you see Your closet is set up. Press Go to my dashboard (on a phone, List your next item takes you straight to listing with photos). You can change any daily job later on the Actions page.
Only connected one store? Setup shows you what your items could do on another store. Press Not now, list something new instead to skip that and go on.
Something not right?

Check your spam folder. After a minute you can press Resend code under the boxes. Typed the wrong email? Press Change it under the card. A code only works once.
"Poshmark wants an extra check"
"Poshmark wants an extra check"
Poshmark sometimes asks for a check Beat'em can't do for you from a phone or a browser without the extension. Your account is fine. Press Connect another store first and carry on. Later, on a computer with Chrome, connect Poshmark from Settings → Stores with the extension.
"This closet is already linked"
"This closet is already linked"
That Poshmark closet is connected to a different Beat'em account, and a store can only belong to one. Sign in with that account instead, or press Connect another store to skip it.
"You cancelled on eBay" or "eBay didn't connect"
"You cancelled on eBay" or "eBay didn't connect"
If you backed out on eBay's page, press Continue to eBay to try again when you're ready. If eBay refused, the reason is under the heading: if it says the eBay account is already linked to another Beat'em account, or is a different eBay account, trying again won't help. Otherwise press Try again. Either way you can press Skip eBay for now.
"<Store> stopped bringing your listings in"
"<Store> stopped bringing your listings in"
Bringing in your listings hit a problem on the store's side. Beat'em tries again on its own, so carry on with the next step.
"Your <Store> closet is empty"
"Your <Store> closet is empty"
Beat'em found no live listings on that store. That's fine if you're just starting: press List your first item and list one from photos on your phone.
I can't press Continue on "You're in!"

Pick where you sell from first. The stores question is optional.
Still stuck? Ask Buzz in Beat'em. If Buzz can't sort it out, press Contact support under Buzz's chat box and we'll reply by email, usually within a few hours.
