When something sells

Beat'em spots the sale, takes the item down on your other stores, and adds it to your Sold page.

Nice one. When an item sells on any of your stores, Beat'em spots the sale, takes the same item down on your other stores so nobody else buys it, and adds the sale to your Sold page. It all runs on Beat'em's side, so your computer can be off. Your part is shipping it.

How it works

It spots the sale. Beat'em checks Poshmark, Depop and eBay for new sales about every 15 minutes. eBay also tells Beat'em the moment something sells, so eBay sales often show up sooner. If you have Beat'em open, a note pops up, for example Sold: Vintage denim jacket, with a See the sale button that opens your Sold page. Missed it? It stays in Notifications, the bell in Beat'em's menu.

It takes the item down everywhere else. The switch for this is called Delist elsewhere when sold, and it's on from the start. Sold on Poshmark? That item's listings on Depop and eBay end, and so do its listings on each of your Poshmark closets if you run more than one (say a US and a Canada closet). It works on the listings that sit together as one item on your Items page. If a store doesn't let a removal through, Beat'em tries again every half hour. This is for real: the ended listings can't be brought back, only listed again from scratch.

Got more than one in stock? If an item has a quantity above one, a sale lowers the count on your other stores instead of taking the listings down. When the last one sells, they come down.

It records the money. The sale lands on your Sold page with what it Sold for, your Costs and your Profit. Click a sale to see the full breakdown, including the store's selling fee (shown with the store's name, like Depop fee), and to add what the item cost you with + Cost of goods. If a buyer later gets part of their money back, Beat'em picks it up in its daily check: the sale shows Refunded, and its breakdown says how much and when.

If a sale is cancelled. Beat'em spots it (within minutes on eBay, in its daily check on Poshmark and Depop) and a note pops up: Sale cancelled with the item's name. On the Sold page the sale shows Cancelled and its money columns go blank: the buyer was refunded in full, the store's fee came back to you, and the sale no longer counts in your totals. The item goes back in stock as delisted, marked Sale cancelled on your Items page. Nothing is relisted for you: for 30 days the sale has a Relist button that puts it back up.

You ship it. Print the label on the store it sold on, the way you always do. Beat'em doesn't buy labels or message buyers.

Turn delisting elsewhere on or off

On the Sold page, press ⋯ at the top and turn Delist elsewhere when sold on or off. With it off, your other listings stay up when something sells, and taking them down is up to you. Only the account owner sees this switch. The same menu has Download CSV for your records. To change which sales you see, press Filters and pick a period or a store.

Something not right?

Beat'em couldn't tell which of your listings sold, so to be safe it didn't take anything down. Check your other stores and end any copies of that item yourself. Then let us know (see below) so we can fix the records.

Give it about 15 minutes: the sale has to be spotted first. If it's still up after that, open Activity → Needs attention, where Double-sell protection says why. If that store has been disconnected, reconnect it and the removal finishes by itself. If it says Beat'em couldn't take it down after several tries, end the listing on that store yourself.

Beat'em only takes down listings that are part of the same item on your Items page. If the other listing shows as an item of its own, Beat'em doesn't know it's the same thing, so end it on that store yourself.

New sales show up within about 15 minutes. If it's older than that, press Filters and check the period covers the sale date.

The note only pops up while Beat'em is open. The sale is still recorded, and it shows in Notifications (the bell in Beat'em's menu) next time you open the app.

That store logged Beat'em out, so sale checks, delisting there and automations for it are paused. Go to Settings → Stores and press Reconnect next to it. Everything picks up where it left off.

Still stuck? Ask Buzz in Beat'em. If Buzz can't sort it out, press Contact support under Buzz's chat box and we'll reply by email, usually within a few hours.
